Your client hasn't paid. Here is the polite plan.
Enter one unpaid invoice. Get the days overdue, three follow-up emails with dates worked out from the due date, and a late-fee total if you charge one. You copy each message and send it yourself.
Your three messages
Each one is dated for you, counted from the due date. Edit anything before you send. Nothing is sent from this page.
The full Invoice Follow-Up: $19
One payment, once. Unlimited invoices for 12 months from purchase, on any device.
- All three messages: friendly nudge, firm reminder, final reminder
- Three tones: gentle, standard and firm, each with its own spacing
- The late-fee line in the messages, using the fee you enter
- A printable statement of account for the client

All sales are final. The free version above runs the same date and fee math, so try it with your invoice first.

How the math works
- Days overdue = today's date minus the due date. If the due date has not come yet, it shows days until it is due and no fee.
- Each message is dated a set number of days after the due date. Standard is 1, 7 and 14 days. Gentle is 3, 10 and 21. Firm is 1, 5 and 10. With weekends skipped, the counts are business days (Monday to Friday): standard becomes 1, 5 and 10, gentle 3, 7 and 15, firm 1, 3 and 7.
- If the first date has already passed, the whole sequence starts today: the first message today, the others spaced by the same gaps as above (standard: 6 then 7 days). Each message is written for its own date, so day counts and balances match the day you send it. We can't know what you have already sent, so send them in order, and edit the wording if you have.
- With weekends skipped, every date, including a start-today date and each "reply by" date, is a weekday. Without it, dates are plain calendar days and can fall on a weekend (the list marks those).
- Late fee: only if you tick the box. You choose the type and enter the number from your own contract. Grace days push the fee start date back: the fee start date is the due date plus your grace days, and the fee first applies the day after it. Months are counted from that start date, so a start date of January 31 reaches one month on the last day of February. If a fee ever tops a quarter of the invoice, the page shows a warning. It never changes your numbers.
- Everything runs in your browser. We don't see or store your invoice details.
Questions
What do I get for $19?
All three messages, the three tones, the late-fee line, a printable statement of account and a .txt file with everything, for as many invoices as you like, for 12 months from purchase, on any device where you open your access link (use Send my link to get it again). The free version above uses the same date and fee math and gives you the friendly message and all the dates, so you can check it works for your invoice before you pay.
Does it send the emails?
No, never. You copy each message, or download them all, and send them yourself from your own email. You approve every message because you are the one who sends it.
Can I get a refund?
All sales are final because the full version unlocks instantly. If you were charged twice, or the full version won't open after you've used the resend link below, email us and we'll refund it.

Can this tool tell me whether a late fee is allowed?
This tool can't tell you whether a late fee is allowed. Check your contract or ask a professional. It applies the fee you enter and nothing else.
Can you tell me what to do about my client?
No. We're a tool, not advice. We organize dates, do the arithmetic and give you wording you can change. Whether and when to send anything is your decision. For questions about your rights or your contract, ask a qualified professional.
What are the limits of the tool?
It handles one invoice at a time and the full invoice amount: it does not track partial payments, so enter the amount still owed. It knows weekends but not public holidays. It does not check whether anything has been paid, and it does not keep a list of your invoices. The message wording is a template: read it, and change it to fit your situation.
Not advice
Invoice Follow-Up is a calculator and template tool. It is not legal, financial or tax advice, it is not a collection service, and it does not contact anyone. We make no claim about whether any fee or message is allowed in your situation. Our spokesperson in videos, Mr. Harlan Price, is an AI character.
